3rd, 4th, & 5th Grades
Northwood Chess Club has started again for the school year 2010. We meet on Mondays in the Media Center from 2:30 to 3:45. This year we had over 80 forms turned in for only 52 places. Mrs. Ketchum has very kindly organized a snack schedule and is coordinating all things Chess! She will be keeping parents up to date through email. Thanks, Mrs. Ketchum!
We are trying something different this year--we have a 15 to 20 minute chess lesson at the beginning of each meeting. The kids are enjoying their snacks and learning chess moves, tips, and strategies.
